Its not a big deal. I dont feel that Im totally sick. I just have extra bad allergys, or a head cold on top of allergys. But I did feel pretty gross last night and this morning. Noah said "youll have a bad day today if you run and wear yourself out..." So I almost cancelled. But then I thought...Ill DEFINITELY have a bad day if I dont get my saturday run.
I went, and enjoyed it. Im glad I went. Maybe I will pay for it in the long run...who ever knows if running makes your sick recovery process slower? But if I feel miserable all day, I know I enjoyed my run outside this morning.
Anyway, just made me think about how much I look forward, all week, to that longer saturday run.
It was a fun group this morning...Cynthia, Lisa, Karen, Sarah, and Meghan. The Saturday's Warriors!

I love it too. The Saturday run would be hard to give up now; I'm totally hooked! I love getting in all those miles and usually having a chance in the several hours of running to chat a bit with each runner. I need to remember your theory about "DEFINITELY" having a bad day if you don't run. It's so true, for so many reasons. Thanks for slowing down for me on the second loop - I've got to get new shoes. :) (Yeah, lets blame it on the shoes...)
ReplyDeleteI've been out all week with sick kids and a busy husband. I totally understand the "DEFINITELY" having a bad day if you don't run as well. Sigh. This week will be better.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I did get my shirt last week. Did you get yours, Lindy? I still have not received my shirt from the 1/2 I ran in August.
ReplyDeleteEven on some of my sickest days I've run, even raced. It somehow always makes me feel better even if just for a little while! :)
